Risk Disclosure
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Crypto can be useful, but it comes with real risks. Please read this before you use SwiftAza, especially if you’re new.
The short version
- Only use money you can afford to lose.
- Keep your recovery phrase offline and private.
- Double-check every address and network before you send.
- If an offer sounds too good to be true, it’s a scam.
Prices go up and down fast
Crypto prices can change by large amounts within minutes. You could lose some or all of the value you hold. Even stablecoins like USDT, which aim to stay at $1, can lose their peg.
Transactions can’t be undone
Once a transaction is on the blockchain, nobody can reverse it. Sending to a wrong address, or the right address on the wrong network, usually means the funds are lost for good.
Your recovery phrase is everything
Whoever has your recovery phrase controls your wallet. If you lose it and your device, your crypto is gone. If someone else sees it, they can take your crypto. Write it down on paper, store it somewhere safe, and never share it, screenshot it or save it in email or cloud notes.
Scams and phishing
Scammers pretend to be support staff, famous people or giveaways, and copy real websites. SwiftAza will never ask for your recovery phrase or passcode, and will never message you first asking you to send crypto.
DeFi and smart contracts
Swaps use decentralized exchanges and smart contracts. These can contain bugs, be hacked, or behave in unexpected ways. Approving a token lets a contract move it, so only approve contracts you trust.
Cross-chain swaps and bridges
Moving value between networks uses bridges, which add extra steps and extra risk. Transfers can be delayed, and bridges have been hacked in the past.
Slippage and fees
The amount you receive in a swap can be lower than the quote if the price moves while your swap is processed. Network fees change with demand and can be high when a network is busy.
Your device’s security
Your wallet is only as safe as the device it’s on. Keep your device updated, use a strong screen lock, avoid unknown browser extensions, and don’t use SwiftAza on shared or public computers.
Law and tax
Rules for crypto differ between countries and can change. Some activities may be restricted where you live, and you may owe tax on gains. You are responsible for following the rules that apply to you.
Outages and errors
Blockchains, price feeds, swap routers and other services SwiftAza depends on can be slow, wrong or offline. Software, including SwiftAza, can have bugs. Prices shown may be delayed.
